Meet Dan

The Making of a Family Entertainer

Magician Dan Jordan learned magic, unicycling, and juggling at a young age. Dan would perform at family get-togethers and being encouraged by all the attention he would practice day and night to develop his talents. As Dan grew in age, he continued to develop his performance skills, performing for neighbors and friends and to the built-in audience of children at his mother's in-home day care. Dan took any money he made from these early performances and invested it back into more magic tricks and magic lessons. After a brief detour from his love of entertainment, Dan graduated high school with honors, went on to serve proudly in the United States Army, go to college, and then set off on a career path in law enforcement, got married and had two beautiful kids.

Then one sunny Southern California day, Dan and his wife took their kids to a friend's five year old child's birthday party. The entertainment for the party was a magic clown. The clown showed up late, was rude to the children, and was a terrible performer. Dan knew that with all his experience performing magic, juggling, and unicycling that he could do a better job than the incompetent clown. After discussing the matter with his wife Dan decided to start his own entertainment business.

"As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live" - John Paul II

Dan's entertainment business grew from costume characters for children's birthday parties to full stage illusion shows for corporations. For some of the illusion shows, Dan produced the show, hired other acts, starred in the production, and emceed the show. Dan's entertainment now has him performing from coast-to-coast.

natural resource"
- Herbert Hoover

Along the way Dan has taken the time to further develop his performing skills. He has attended and received a certificate of achievement in the "Art of Magic" from California State University Northridge. The course was lengthy and the classes covered such subjects as magic tricks, showmanship, and performance. Dan has also attended acting and dancing classes, magic workshops and seminars. In addition, Dan has been an active member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and has served as president of the local chapter "Ring 280 - The Mark Wilson Ring."

"When you put faith, hope and love together you can raise positive kids in a negative world" - Zig Ziglar

Dan has also invented a few magic tricks and has been teaching magic one-on-one or in groups for many years too. Based on all his successful years of performing children's and family shows, Dan wrote a how-to-guide called "All About Magic Shows For Kids" and has subsequently been lecturing to magic clubs across the United States on the subject. The lecture series commenced at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, where Dan is also a magician member and performer!

Dan's first love is being a family man but close second is his love for being an entertainer! All of Dan's family entertainment shows combine his enthusiasm for life and stage into his performance.
