Your Magic Instructor
Magician Dan Jordan will be your personal Instructor. Dan has been an accomplished
stage and close-up magician for many years. In addition to all his years of performing,
he has also been teaching group and private magic lessons. Dan has developed
and formatted a magic course designed to teach the fundamentals of close-up magic.
The course will include magic tricks with everyday objects such as cards, coins,
money, rubberbands, business cards, and rope. Each trick will be performed, explained,
taught, and described in easy to follow instructional handouts.
FAQ
1) Doesn’t magic take years to learn?
Magic can be a profession or hobby that for years you will enjoy learning different
tricks, moves and skills. There are many thousands of magic tricks, some of which
are difficult and some very easy to master. You must first begin with the fundamentals
and that is precisely what you will learn in Dan’s specially designed magic
course. Starting with the first lesson you will be able to go home and impress
your friends with your new found magic skills. You will also learn to develop
a good balance of technical skills and showmanship which is necessary for magic.
Showmanship can be summed up as "acting techniques." Basically all
of us are already actors and story tellers to a certain degree. So by forming
your own story (patter) with your magic tricks you will sound and act like a
confident performer right away!
2) Is it possible for you to just teach me a few magic tricks so I don’t
have to take a whole course?
Dan has developed a magic course to teach you the fundamentals of close-up
magic. This course can be one-on-one (private lessons) or in group lessons. But
before the lessons start Dan will assess your talent, your learning desires,
and your uses for the magic. With those answers Dan can deviate from the course
and teach you magic tricks to meet your entertainment needs.
3) Where do we meet for the Private lessons?
The magic lessons can be done at Dan’s house, your house, your office,
or even a park! Most lessons last about 1-2 hours and can be made to fit your
schedule. Whether day or night the time for lessons is now! Magic is fun and
why wait to have fun?
4) Is your magic course only for adults?
No, but surprisingly the majority of Dan’s students are adults. Even more
surprisingly is that most of the adult students are professional or career people.
Dan has taught magic to Doctors, Lawyers, Managers, Salespeople, Police officers,
and even other Magicians.
Dan teaches young adults too (12 years old and up.) Plus Dan has taught many
semi-private lessons involving a parent and child. In those lessons it was incredible
how the two bonded and teamed up over magic! Magic can be great hobby for kids
too. It is good clean wholesome fun. Magic can even be a way for kids to make
extra money performing magic shows for neighborhood friends.
